Happy Birthday Kaylee Rae

When the doctors told me that Kaylee would have to wear a brace for 3 months I thought everything was falling apart and my daughter would never recover. It was a very hard time for our little family, but here we are and everything is just the way it should be. Kaylee is going strong and showing me everyday that the brace was easy compared to what is to come. Pre-school is next and then school. She missed the cut off by 5 days but that is OK I want her home another year. My sister Alicia is a Kindergarten teacher and she has already said "Please don't be one of those Moms" I can't help it Kaylee is my baby. If anyone knows my Kaylee they know she is one of a kind. She has so many people that love her and we are very lucky to be her parents.

Its always a fun night in Battlefield on the 4th of July. Everyone is out and I mean everyone in the neighborhood is just having family time and enjoying the show.

The surgery went well and the doctors think he had this mass since birth. One of those medical mysterys. Hunter's grandma Cindy said everything went as good as it could. Hunter is in ICU and his family cannot see him till tomorrow. The mass was sent off for some test to make sure there is no cancer.

Eric has a fellow co-worker and good friend, Cindy, that has a 3 year old grandson by the name of Hunter. Hunter has been very sick. They thought he had the flu and has been sick at his stomach for several days. He started to do some things that was a red flag to his parents so they toke him to the hospital. He has a mass that is blocking his small intestine. Cox is sending him to the children's hospital in St. Louis. This family is very scared for their little Hunter. Please pray for the surgery he will have to try and remove the mass and pray there is no cancer. We should know more by this evening or tomorrow morning about the surgery.

We have just been busy enjoying life. These pictures are from Mothers Day and it was a really good day. My kids got me a recordable card and Kaylee recorded a message in it for me. It brought tears to my eyes and pulled at my heartstrings. It was the best present of the day. If you know my Kaylee she is a very sweet, loving, innocent little girl who thinks everyone is as good as gold. I don't ever want her to know any different but that is not quite how life works unfortunately. Kaylee is done with soccer and it was a success. It toke her a little time to get warmed up at the games but once things got going she was right in there with the others kids. Eric and I were proud of her because she is very shy and she did better than we thought. I think we will play this fall as well. Spencer is trying to walk. He can he just doesn't realize it. If he would just let go of everything he pushes around he would realize he is walking. He can stand up in the middle of the floor and stand up without holding onto anything. So we shall see in the next couple weeks if he gets brave or not. He loves to sing and we can't understand a thing that comes our of his mouth but we know he loves to talk. Spencer is a very busy little boy very curious about things with buttons like the computer, telephone and remotes. He also loves to get in my cabinets. At the end of the day I feel like the only thing I have accomplished is that I kept my house from falling apart and Spencer from hurting his self from everything he gets into. This summer we are going to go swimming and do lots of playing. I love being with my kids everyday it can get crazy but it is where I want to be. Eric is busy at work as usual but he is working a lot less and we keep him busy at home. Nothing new in our lives just the everyday stuff like everyone else. Our vacation was good. Eric and I had a really good time and can't wait to go on another. We both agreed we a looking forward to taking our kids with us. We loved getting away just the two of us it was well deserved for Eric. He is so good to his family. Working at the job he has so I can be home with the kids and coming home and doing what ever he needs for the family and never saying a word. He is a great husband, father. Andy and Erin we here over Memorial Day weekend and they were doing well. They we glad to see the kids as usual and we all had a really good visit. Moved Amanda over the weekend as well. She is now homeless. She will be leaving for Japan in about 3 weeks. We are now getting ready for a benefit yard sale that we will be having in Cabool on June 6th. Everyone has been so nice to donate their things therefore there is going to be alot prep work. Busy, Busy, Busy. Goodbye for now!

If you visit my blog today go to my cousin Melissa's blog Heartprints (on my sidebar). There is a short story about my Grandma. She is ready to go HOME and it is a hard time for all of us who love her and remember the strong women that she was in all our lives. I have the memories Melissa wrote about but I also have many from when I was young. I spent alot of time with her in the summers when my parents were at work. I can see those days so clearly and I smile because they make me so happy. I have been very lucky to have such loving strong forgiving women in my life like her daughters Judy, Betty, and my mother Nancy. These women are as strong or stronger than her and have raised beautiful families. Pray for them because there is no love like a Mother's. I did not realize how important the roles of Grandparents are until I had children of my own. They teach your kids so much more than you do with their unconditional love. They have stories to tell and lots of fun to be had. Their house is so much more fun than yours and Grandma's ice cream even tastes better. Read Heartprints!

Today was a great day!!!!!!!! We celebrated Spencer's birthday all day. We started out with presents and cinnamon rolls then we ended the day with chicken nuggets and an art project at firehouse pottery. Now the kids are sleeping soundly. We had a party over the weekend with family and I really enjoyed the party. Spencer had a great time and he got so many nice gifts from everyone that came. Thanks to all. Spencer has been feeling under the weather for some time now so we have not been able to get his pictures, but I have them scheduled for the 3rd time so we shall see. Kaylee started soccer last Friday and we are supposed to have a game this Saturday, but it could get snowed out. I will post her schedule another day. Enjoy the pics from the day and his party. My niece Madison has a appt with a Pediatric Dermatologist at the St. Louis Childrens hospital on March 26th. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that the doctor can offer some help to our sweet Maddie-girl. Great thing is they told Alicia probably would be June but when she called back to schedule an appt they had an opening come up in March. God is always listening!!!!!!!!

This is baby Caden and as you can see Kaylee is very proud of him. She takes better care of him than her little brother. I love watching her enjoy someone else's baby so much. It shows how caring she is. Caden is so good and he makes the cutest faces. I am slowly getting the hang of 3 kids but today I tried to put Caden's pacie in Spencer's mouth and I threw away a spoon. I am getting there. So far I am only watching him 2 days a week but in about 3 weeks I will watch him everyday for about a month.

Spencer 1st Valentines Day

We had a really fun Valentines Day. We spent the whole day just being together and enjoying our kids. For breakfast we fixed cinnamon rolls and for Dinner we fixed up a homemade heart shaped pizza. It was yummy and so was the annual chocolate covered strawberries from the candy house that Eric got me. It wouldn't be V day without them he gets them for me every year. My sister-in-law sent me the new blog that is posted to the right of my page called Readelife. Please take time to read this family's journey through their pregnancy with twins. The husband Chad works at the same medical center as Erin in Nebraska. This is a very touching story and it really puts things into perspective for me a mother who has had 2 beautiful healthy babies. You never know what can happen when you start having children you can only pray that God will keep them safe, and to trust that he does have a plan for your children. This is a true example of 2 people keeping their faith fixed on God and always looking up for comfort. Good night

Well Spenc had the flu for the 1st time. It was the stomach kind. He got it on Monday while we were in Houston and he is just now finally getting over it. I hate having the flu with a baby because they can't tell you anything so therefor you never know when they will get sick. So I sat with him in my lap with old towels around us for most of the afternoon on Monday. So far no one else has gotten it so keep your fingers crossed. That could be due to the 2 bottles of rubbing alcohol that my Mom and I sprayed in a 2 day period. All is well in the Maxwell household. Kaylee is at Parents Day Out right now so Spencer and I are getting some stuff done got up around the house. I am going to start watching a sweet little baby boy on Feb. 16th for 2 days a week so I have to stay got up. Goodbye for today.

Its a new year and time to start fresh with some things, like my Blog. I must keep up with it and I am going to work on making it more interesting to visit. So keep checking. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. We celebrated for 3 weeks straight. It was so fun to watch Spencer learn how to unwrap presents, he definitely needs more practice. Kaylee still doesn't like Santa which is Ok by me. She had a great time getting all the things she thought she needed. Eric and I had a wonderful Christmas too we both enjoyed time with family and we got a few things on our want list as well. The year has already been eventful. Kaylee got back in her schedule of Gymnastics and Parents Day Out. She is now thinking she might like to play T-Ball again. Spencer is 9 months old and I am already starting to think about his Birthday. He is really getting big and he finally stoped doing the army crawl. I guess he decided he could go faster crawling normal. He is pulling up and getting more teeth. He can clap, say Dada and Moma, and get into everything he shouldn't. Eric is still just plugging away at work everyday in hopes to move him and his staff to a better office soon. He is not working as much overtime and it is nice. We are going to go on vacation this year in April. We are going to Williamsburg Virginia and Virginia Beach. Eric and I never got to go on a Honeymoon and then came Kaylee and Spenc so we are really looking forward to this. We have our flights and where we are going to stay. I will have to post what we will be doing when we get to that part of the planning. We kind of know but we have to work out a schedule that will fit into 7 days with some time to relax. The kids and Griffin will be staying with my Mom with lots of help from other family. I am a little nervous about that but I know they will be getting spoiled and thats Ok, because they are being loved. Our pastor and his wife left Sunday for Texas to see family before leaving for Africa. We are really going to miss them. I have had the pleasure of being around their family twice. Once when they lived in Houston and then here in Springfield and they are special people. If anyone is interested in following their blog it is on my toolbar. Amanda went to school in Michigan and she has a lot to do before she leaves for Japan. Her blog is also on my toolbar. Pray for Jim and his family, they have a big job ahead of them. Pray for their safety, they are going to a part of Africa where AIDS is very prominent along with creepy crawlie things that are poisonous. Pray for Amanda as she prepares for her journey and being away from friends and family. Pray for Eric and I we are not sure that Hamlin Baptist is where we need to be going. We both want to see Kaylee be more involved in a preschool group at church that has more activities for her age. Eric and I need more young married couples to share christian fellowship with. It is a hard decision because your church is kind of like home-comfortable. I guess that should be a sign because Jim always said we should never get to comfortable and when it comes to serving we will always be out of our comfort zone. So we shall see what the year brings for all of us. Goodbye for now.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. We had a great time down in Houston. The kids are so wore out today from playing with their Grandpas and Grandma, Uncles and Aunts and cousins. They are both going to stay in their Pjs and rest because we are tired and cranky. It's to cold and windy today so I decided to stay in. I haven't posted any pics lately so we have a variety. Some are from Halloween and Spenc got his first haircut, which he was sooooo good for. The girls at cookiecutters had so much fun with him. The picture on Dennis, Kaylee and Lauren is from Thanksgiving day, the kids played for hours outside running around. We are all getting ready for Christmas. Kaylee wants everything she sees so we are having a hard time picking out what she really wants. Spencer is going to get a toy box from Eric and I. Eric is working hard all the time as usual and I am just keeping things going around home. I am going to the Casting Crown Christmas concert tomorrow evening with my sisters, mom and my friend Sarah. It is Sarah's birthday on Wednesday so "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" my friend. We have put lights up outside this year and the kids love it and so do I. Thanks daddy! Hope everyone has a good week. God Bless

Sorry everyone I have been falling behind. Here's a few pics. We are all doing great, just having fun all the time. Kaylee loves gymnastics and Spencer is growing like a weed. Kaylee is really starting to like going to her parents day out and Spencer and I are starting the Christmas shopping while Kaylee is at school. We went to Nebraska to see Andy and Erin a couple of weeks ago and the kids were so good and we had a really good time. I don't know if we will be dressing up for Halloween. Kaylee is a little scared of the whole idea so we may just give out candy this year.

Kaylee turned 4!!!! Time flys. She had a wonderful birthday weekend. We visited everybody and had a couple of birthday cakes one of which was a Pet Shop cake. We had to clean out our room and make way for all the new toys. One thing she got was a Princess tent with a sleeping bag to match it. She slept in it for a whole week. Thanks Grammy I think that was a success. She guards her backpack with her life so Cindy did good there. Aunt Erin came to visit the next weekend and brought M&Ms with her picture on them, they are almost gone. Thanks to everyone, Kaylee had a good birthday. Nothing really going on around here. I am ready for fall and cooler weather so we can play outside during the day. Kaylee is playing with Spencer all the time or should I say bugging him. She dressed him up last week and thought it was really funny. Just wait till he sees these pictures in about 10 years. Spencer is getting ready for baby food so that will be exciting especially for big sister. He is rolling where he wants to go and touching everything which goes straight to the mouth. He is screaming I think he likes to hear himself. I am going to try Gymnastics this fall for Kaylee we shall see how that turns out. Her first class is next Wednesday. I am also on a waiting list for a parents day out program for Kaylee, she needs to be away from Mommy a couple of hours a week. Good bye for now!

Hi everyone!!! Spencer rolled over yesterday and we were all so excited. He just gets more and more handsome everyday. Kaylee is really getting excited for her Birthday. Eric is taking Tuesday off work and Kaylee's friend Dawson is coming for the day. We are going to play all day and that evening the kids are going to Jump Mania and going out for supper. Then over the weekend we are having a small party at my Mom and Dad's house and the theme is Pet Shop.

Something I have had on my mind all day is my Pastor and his Family. Most of you know we attend Hamlin Baptist Church and Jim Flora is the pastor. They have been at Hamlin for about 5 years now and their passion is Missions. They have applied to the International Mission board to go into the Mission field and they are interested in a little village is Africa. They don't know the exact time when they will go but when they do it will be happy and sad time. They have 3 adopted daughters, Gracie, Anna and Rebecca who is only 4. So pray for them because they also have 3 grown sons who are married and they also have 3 grandchildren. I can not imagine my parents leaving the country and me not knowing when I may see them again. When Jim and Teresa told the congregation today I was a real testimony to me because they just showed me today what its really all about. God should always be first in my life and I don't put him first, there is always so many things in the way. Lift them up because this is a new chapter in their life and the unknown is very scary. We went to a Birthday party on Sunday afternoon and Kaylee went fishing for the 1st time and look what she caught. She was very proud and she was pretty good at fishing. Her new thing is to pretend to be fishing with her friends and she uses our bed as the rocks to sit on and the floor as the pond. Speaking of Birthdays Kaylee's is coming up on August 5th and she all excited about her party and she wants everything. If she sees something she really likes she will say " I want that for my birthday". If I don't answer she says it over and over until I do. But she is happy with my usual answer of "We'll see". Stay tuned because I will probably post the party pictures soon. Spencer is doing all sorts of fun things. He is getting ready to roll over. He is laughing out loud and he loves when people talk to him. He is teething and chewing on everything he can reach including his feet. He went for his first overnight for 3 nights without Mom and Dad a couple of weekends ago and he did so good. My Mom and Dad said he was just perfect and Aunt Alicia spent a lot of time holding him too. I think after the weekend everyone was in love with our baby boy. He is a very good baby and easy to take care of. I will post some pictures of him soon. Everyone have a good rest of the week.

Lots of Updates

It has been crazy around our house since Fathers Day. We had VBS and Kaylee had the best time that week with her pals at church. T-Ball is still going good our last game is Monday night and Kaylee is super excited because Gramma and Papa are coming to watch. Kaylee, Spencer and I have been really sick for the past 2 weeks and it put our little baby in the hospital for 4 days. He got really sick on Wednesday and when he wasn't responding to me when he woke up I called the doctor immediately and they told me to come right away. Thanks to Cousin Mary for taking Kaylee last minute. I spent 2 hours in the Peds office and they finally admitted him that afternoon. He was a very sick little boy and it really scared Eric and I. In the mean time Kaylee got a break from Mom and Dad and went to Houston to get spoiled by all the grandparents for a couple of days. Kaylee had the best time with everyone that helped. Thanks everybody for dropping everything to help us. Spencer got to home today with his medicine and breathing treatments and he is much better now. I went to the doctor and got me some meds and I am also feeling better. Kaylee is almost in the clear. Hopefully Eric never gets it. Spencer had to spend his first 4th in Cox, but that was OK because we new he was safe. So it you get this summertime respiratory stuff don't wait GO TO THE DOCTOR. It will last forever if you let it. Kaylee missed the big 4th of July parade we had in our neighborhood so this evening we decorated her bike and she loved it. My sister Amanda is on a mission trip with our church in Texas so please pray for her and the 60 member mission team this week. Amanda also went before our church and made public that after she graduates in May 09 she will be leaving for Japan for 6 months to serve in the mission field. This is something she has been struggling with for many years now and she has finally given in to what he was telling her to do. It was a hard decision to move forward with because she knows she will be away from our family for 6 months and we are very close. She will be safe and happy because our Lord will watch over her while she does his work. Some people only sit and wonder what it would be like and they never take that step, we our proud that Amanda is not sitting and waiting she is going to go. Hope everyone had a good 4th of July. In the next 2 weeks we are going to continue to get well and we are also getting new windows and flooring. So pray for my sanity! Kaylee is also starting swimming lessons on Tuesday and she seems to be excited. I am not so sure how she will do she has suddenly developed a fear of water being in her eyes so we will see. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there. Kaylee and Spencer have the best Dad in the whole world. Kaylee always says"I love Daddy soooo much!" She thinks he is pretty great. She wanted to give him her Father's Day gift early so I let her. When Eric opened it she grabbed the coffee mug that her and Spencer had made so proudly for her Daddy to see, then she gave Eric a hug and told him Happy Father's Day like she was 10 years old and she truly knew what it meant. Spencer is also crazy about Eric. He can cry for me all day but as soon as Eric walks through door he starts smiling at his Daddy. They learn so early who the fun one is! I am very lucky because my husband helps me all the time with our kids and he takes care of them for me when I need a break sometimes without me even asking. He loves them with his whole heart and teaches them lots of things I can not or that I forget is important. Happy Father's Day Eric. We love you!

Big Weekend

It was a big weekend at the Grandparents. Spencer got the see Great Grandma Edith for the first time and she thought he was wonderful. Everyone had a great time and we were wore out when we got home on Sunday. We had a picnic at Pappy and Grammy's Farm and Kaylee had a big time, but she wanted to know where the pigs were. She planted pumpkins with Papa Flowers and flowers with Gramma. Uncle Andy and Aunt Erin were in and everyone was glad to see them. Kaylee played with Cousin Maddie on Friday and both kids had a ball with each other. It will only be a matter of time before Spencer will be wanting to play with the girls and hopefully they will be nice and not gang up on him. Grandma Martin's friend, George, had a mini-stroke on Saturday and had to be put in the Intensive Care Unit at TCMH. He is very a very special friend to Nana so if everyone could remember them in their prayers this week.

9 weeks old.....

Spencer has had some milestones in the last week. He has been to the doctor for 5 shots and he cried only while getting pricked. He weighed 10.14 pounds and was 22 3/4 inches tall. That is the 25% for weight and 50% for height. He is really looking us over so I know he can see us good because he just stares. He is smiling and doing some baby talk. He started sleeping in his own bed from 10:00 till 6:00 and that is really good for Eric and I. Big sister was having trouble sleeping in her own bed but she finally worked that out on her own. She is now going to bed on her own and staying there all night. Things are good in the Maxwell house at nighttime. Today was also baby dedication at church and Spencer was dedicated to our Lord by Brother Jim Flora. It was a special time for our whole family and he received his first little Bible with his name on it. Kaylee has her Bible and she now carries to church every Sunday. Pray for Eric and I that we can raise Spencer and Kaylee to love our God and to teach them what is really important in life. That is hard when sometimes we have trouble remembering what is important, because it is easy to get caught up in this world. Today I asked Kaylee if she knew what Jesus did for us and she said "died on the cross" it toke my breath away that my 3 year old little girl knew that. I know we are doing something right. Everyone have a wonderful week I know we will. This weekend coming up will be fun. The kids and I are heading to Houston on Thursday and Erin and Andy are picking Eric up on Friday night on their way through Springfield. We are going to have fun with all the grandparents and Uncles and Aunts for 4 days. Good night.

Catch Up

I had better catch everyone up from the last time I posted. First I want to give out the blog address of one of my good friends (http://www.mommyhook.blogspot.com/.) I want everyone to read her prayer requests and pray for the people in her life and for her family. I don't even want to imagine what those people are going through. I hope everyone had a good Mothers Day. Eric and the kids made a video card for me that is a slideshow from when Kaylee was born until now. It was a very special gift and Kaylee really likes it. She plays the DVD over and over. Kaylee is in T-ball for the summer and I hope she has fun with it. The only place I could find close to us that did tots ball for 3 yr olds was in Republic, so its pretty close to the house. She has a good time hitting the ball and playing with the other kids but hasn't quite got the hang of the outfield yet. I had a yard sale this weekend and did really good. I got rid of alot of stuff and the attic and garage are clear for another couple of years. My Mom came to help watch the kids and Kaylee went back with her to Houston. While she was there she developed a splotchy rash on her face and by Sunday she had a temp with more places on her body. We found out she has fifth disease and it is harmless but can cause fever and discomfort for up to 3 weeks. She looks kind of funny and heat can trigger an outbreak so some days she will look worse than others. Once the rash appears it is not contagious anymore. It was contagious 10-14 days prior and it is rare for adults to get it. Saturday night when the tornadoes went through we had a house about 4 doors down get struck by lightening and it was a total loss to the family. The lightening went through their front window so stay away from windows during storms. Eric and I were eating dinner and we had Spencer up on the table which is right by a big window in our dining room. We won't do that again when it is storming. The weird thing about that lightening hit is that it wasn't storming it just happened. Speaking of Spencer he is doing really good and growing so much. His 2 month checkup is next week and he will get 4 shots. He is starting to be more alert and his favorite thing is to look at is Eric. He just watches him and stared at him all the time. Today I think he almost cooed at Kaylee and me while we were talking to him. Its only a matter of time before he starts to smile at us when we talk to him. I can tell he wants to either smile or make a noise. Enjoy the pics and sleep tight.

Well we made it 4 weeks and things are slowly getting back to normal in the Maxwell house. Spencer is doing great he is changing everyday and getting really chubby. The picture of him was taken this morning. When he went to the doctor for his 3 week checkup he weighed in at 8 pounds 3 ounces and the doctor said all was well with him. Kaylee is doing good, the adjustment has been good for her. She seems to be a little more independent and she adores her little brother. Kaylee has been building me things out of her Lego's as you can see she is very proud of this masterpiece. We went to Houston over the weekend and Spencer saw a lot of people for the first time. I really enjoyed the visit because I got a break for taking care of the kids 24/7 so maybe I should go down more often. I am sure the grandparents would not mind. I am really feeling better and more normal again. Eric is working hard keeping up at work and home, I think we both forgot how demanding a newborn can be. Everybody take care and have a great weekend.

Well its been 10 days and life has been great. My surgery wasn't bad at all and the recovery has been OK.

Spencer is a really good baby. He is the typical eat, change diaper, and sleep newborn. He stays awake about 2-3 hours a day, but most of the time he just sleeps. I can't believe I am a mother of 2 wonderful kids and the wife of the best husband in the world to let me stay home with my children. Kaylee has adjusted so good, she wants to help all the time and has only acted out a little but nothing bad at all. When you watch Kaylee with Spencer you can see in her eyes how proud she is of him. Today when I went to change him she ran in his room before me jumped up on her stepstool and got out all the supplies exactly how I do it. I couldn't believe she had been watching me so close. Spencer is growing fast so I will post some more piscs very soon. Kaylee and Spencer are going to have the pictures made on Sunday, thanks to one of Eric's co-workers who is going to come to our house to take them. Thanks to all who haved helped us during this time. I could not have gotten along so good without you.

Easter Day

Easter was a good day! The Easter bunny came to see Kaylee and she was quite pleased with what he brought her. Church was so nice, the choir performed a musical and it was really good. We had Easter dinner just the 3 of us and then we took a nap, so it has been a good day. Tomorrow is it and are family goes from 3 to 4. Eric, Kaylee and I are really feeling like things are already changing and I am getting nervous about my surgery, but I faith that everything is going to work itself out the way it is supposed to. Thanks to family and friends (ahead of time) for everything they are helping with while we welcome a new baby boy in our wonderful growing family.

Kaylee had the most wonderful day today. First Pappy and Grammy came and brought her a Easter present which contained some Sponge Bob shoes she really liked. After lunch they went with us to an Easter egg hunt and Kaylee picked up 24 eggs and got a little book. Then we went to Dawson's Birthday party and you would of thought she had not seen her friend in a year. She had the best time with him and they got to tour the fire station. All the kids thought that was pretty cool. Enjoy the pics. I will post more tomorrow after all the Easter festivities. Baby Brother also got a present today. Kaylee wasn't sure about the Easter bunny, but she got her picture anyway. She is getting to be such a big girl and we enjoy her so much! We have a big weekend planned. Grammy and Pappy are coming and we are going to an Easter hunt and birthday party on Saturday. Sunday we are off to church and some Easter festivities at home. Then Monday is the day before little brother arrives. We have a lot to look forward to in the next couple of days and week. Have a wonderful Easter and remember what Jesus did for us.

Uncle Andy and Aunt Erin came to visit so we colored Easter Eggs tonight. Kaylee had a good time, but she was a little rough with the eggs. I don't think she realized that we couldn't throw the eggs, because we broke a couple. They turned out really cute and she is proud of them. Tomorrow we are going to Chik-fil-A and she is really looking forward to that outing so she can play on the slides and eat chicken. Good night for now!

C-Section is still Tuesday March 25th and everything is still on track for 7:30 a.m delivery.

We are all doing good, if Eric can just stay well so Kaylee and I don't get sick. We think he had strep throat last Friday. He went and got on meds asap, but now he has a head cold. Eric got a promotion at work. He is now Director of Compensation & HRIS. It was very deserving and we are all proud of him for doing so well at his job. I am still trying to get Spencer's room done and I think we are almost there. The shelf I painted and the letters I made turned out really cute. I had a hard time finding a lamp I liked, but I finally found a lampshade and it had holes in it so I got ribbon and made it how I wanted (if you click on the picture you can see it better). Yesterday I had a doctors appt and I went to get a pedicure, thanks to my good friend Sarah Hook ( it was on her). When I picked up Kaylee I had sandals on and she was so amazed by my toenails, so as soon as we got home and had a bath she ran and got all my toenail polish and wanted hers to look like mine. Kaylee was so proud of her toenails we had to take a picture so she could show everyone. Kaylee was invited to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday the 22nd and she is excited. I told her today that when her Uncle Andy and Aunt Erin comes this weekend they could color Easter eggs with her, so watch out Andy and Erin she is already got the plan for you!!!! We can't wait to see you on Friday!! Better go for now, I will post after the big weekend. Love The Maxwells

Fun in the Snow

Kaylee had so much fun in the snow today, thanks to Aunt Mandy. They played outside for about an hour and when she came in she ate a whole bag of popcorn and feel asleep shortly after.

She made a snow angel, slid down her slide and the neighbor boy tried to get her to sled, but that was a no go. I think Aunt Mandy had fun too once she got down shoveling the driveway and making a path for Griffin to go potty. Eric and I really appreciated that because I really couldn't and Eric could only do it in the dark. Thanks for always helping out Aunt Mandy. We had a good weekend, Kaylee went to visit all her Grandparents and we had some down time to get some stuff done at home. I don't know if she wore her grandparents out or if it was the other way around. On Saturday she went to check cows with Papa and to see Great Grandma Flowers, then off to town to get new shoes, which she is very proud of. I think she also played with cousin Maddie on Saturday as well as playing outside till 9:30 at night (Grandparents will do anything).

On Sunday she was busy visiting at Grammy and Pappy's house, she had a good time playing and she really liked her chocolate bunnies Grammy got her. Nana Martin, Grandpa and Grandma Great also came to visit her while she was there. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma's for always helping.

Kaylee went to the dentist and it was very successful. When the nurse called her name she walked right on in and said "Mommy I want to go myself". About 20 minutes passed and the nurse came out and said she did great, her teeth got cleaned and she wanted strawberry fluoride. I was completely shocked, but very happy, because lately Kaylee has been acting very shy.

Later we celebrated with Chocolate pudding as you can see she really enjoyed herself.

4 Weeks To Go...........

We finally have a Birth date for Baby Brother. The C-Section will be done on Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 7:30 a.m., if all goes well till then. My next appt is March 11th so we will see if we are still on track for that date. We are finally getting the room put together, thanks to Aunt Betty for painting, it looks sooo good. I am also narrowing down the things I need, which was more than I thought especially in the clothes department, but it is all coming together. Kaylee wasn't sure about a new baby at first, but as time gets closer and she sees the baby's room, the idea of a new baby is really setting in. She talks about it more and tells Eric and I that she is going to rock her brother, feed her brother and play with him. Then she will finish it with "I am big and he will be little like Maddie, she is 1." Eric is slowly getting caught up at work and hopefully after this month things will look on the up and up for him. Being at home all the time has really helped our family, but some days I really miss being with my friends at work and just getting away from the laundry, cleaning, and constant errands I am running. I must say we have more time to spend together as a family and that part has been really nice for all of us. We do have a name picked out for the new addition and I hope it sticks, it is Spencer Paul Maxwell, but when he comes into this world I may think he doesn't look like a Spencer at all, he may look like a Blake which is our second choice, so we will see.
